Diets don't work
Of course diets work, "I just eat small quantities of healthy food and I lose weight". Yes that is the case in it's simplest form. Sounds easy, but it is not that easy for many people. Why? Because that would require willpower, and willpower takes conscious control, and with our busy lives, willpower lets us down unfortunately.

But how is this achieved?
The part of the brain that is responsible for determining when we feel full is the Ventromedial Hypothalamus which is located within the Limbic system. Because activity within the Limbic system is unconscious we cannot directly affect this region to our benefit. But we can indirectly control its activity using NLP techniques such as forward pacing and sub-modality change. This means that during hypnosis when the brain processes information differently, your Basingstoke Hypnotherapist can effectively change the settings of your Ventromedial Hypothalamus. So you will feel fuller quicker with less food, and this makes managing your weight much easier. This explains why diets don't work in the long term, because will power alone is a conscious activity and does not get to the root of the problem.
